POSITION OVERVIEW:

Partners4Wellness is seeking a dynamic and passionate Health Educator with a strong interest in tobacco prevention and public health. This individual will plan and implement prevention outreach, provide education to diverse audiences, and represent the organization in the community and at local/state events. Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and deliver primary prevention outreach and education to various demographics.
• Coordinate and collaborate with local agencies to implement tobacco-related programs and services.
• Attend and participate in local and statewide meetings, trainings, and conferences.
• Deliver engaging presentations on substance-related prevention to adults, youth, and school personnel.
• Maintain a strong understanding of and commitment to tobacco-free health initiatives.
• Prepare and submit timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Support grant writing and reporting efforts as needed.
• Serve as a representative of Partners4Wellness, effectively networking with other organizations and community partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Public Health, or a related field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident public speaking skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with community resources and health-related services.
• Prior experience in substance use prevention, especially alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs, is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva.

This full-time hybrid position plays a key role in delivering substance use prevention education to youth, parents, and community members throughout Orange County. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and another language, have strong communication skills, and be deeply committed to community wellness.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging and informative presentations on substance use prevention for elementary through high school students, parents, and community members.
• Develop and implement culturally responsive outreach and education programs.
• Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and agencies to coordinate and deliver prevention services.

Summary of Position

The case manager/counselor, under the direction of the program manager, executes day-to-day case management duties and responsibilities as described below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess and schedule activities that ensure the participant stays current with payments and activities.
• Perform core functions of case management as defined by the agency.
• Assess participants needs and possess skills to refer clients for ancillary services as needed.
• Discuss and encourage participant attendance in educational sessions and group sessions.
• Capability to collect program fees and log payments according to agency requirements.
• Experience in facilitating small group sessions and working in a team structure.
• Maintain complete accuracy in participant files.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience providing case management/counseling services. Education and professional background in human services, substance use disorders, DUI education or health care disciplines. Minimum of two years of previous case management, counseling, or professional academic experience preferred. Knowledge and experience in the SUD field and familiarity with Title 9 and MAT services a plus.

Strong engagement, public speaking, mentorship, and leadership skills are essential, with experience in trauma-informed care, mental health, or substance use prevention highly desirable; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
