Position: Health Educator – Tobacco Policy
Availability: Full-Time | Hybrid Position | Open Until Filled
Starting Salary: $50,000/year
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Partners4Wellness is seeking a dynamic and passionate Health Educator with a strong interest in tobacco prevention and public health. This individual will plan and implement prevention outreach, provide education to diverse audiences, and represent the organization in the community and at local/state events. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on public health through education and advocacy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and deliver primary prevention outreach and education to various demographics.
- Coordinate and collaborate with local agencies to implement tobacco-related programs and services.
- Attend and participate in local and statewide meetings, trainings, and conferences.
- Deliver engaging presentations on substance-related prevention to adults, youth, and school personnel.
- Maintain a strong understanding of and commitment to tobacco-free health initiatives.
- Prepare and submit timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Support grant writing and reporting efforts as needed.
- Serve as a representative of Partners4Wellness, effectively networking with other organizations and community partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Public Health, or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident public speaking skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with community resources and health-related services.
- Prior experience in substance use prevention, especially alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva.

- Professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend community meetings and events.
- Willingness to support additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to work throughout Orange County.
- Occasional travel for trainings is required.
