Summary of Position
The Associate Director of Finance, working with and reporting to the CEO, will oversee the operations of the organization in connection with all financial matters that include operating statements, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, balance sheets, general ledger, government contracts, human resources, and overall coordination, planning and reporting of the financial activities of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash flow, develop, and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the CEO and Board of Directors in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Manage payroll process and provide analysis of work-force distribution and compensation.
- Maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, payroll, bank reconciliations and investment accounts.
- Execute Intuit/QuickBooks programs.
- Serves as part of the agency’s leadership team.
- Direct all aspects of the finance and human resources departments.
- Manage employee onboarding, insurance, benefits and all other human resource needs.
- Maintain financial records for governmental grants and process monthly reimbursement reports.
- Assist CEO and Managers with the preparation of budgets for funding applications and grants.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of previous accounting and financial experience
- Nonprofit financial experience preferred
- Proficient in Intuit, QuickBooks, Excel
Starting Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
