Tobacco Prevention & Cessation

This program educates middle and high school students and their parents, providing educational activities on the dangers of tobacco, e-cigarette, and vape use.  TPC also provides education and materials to tobacco retailers and their staff.

Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD) and Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD).

This program is funded by the Orange County Health Care Agency - Tobacco Use Prevention Project.

Partners4Wellness staff provide the following:

  • Vaping/Tobacco Presentations to schools, youth, parents/adults, school administration and high-risk populations.
  • Webinars created for youth, adults/parents, school administration, and high-risk populations.
  • Vaping/Tobacco Online Activities that supplement our Vaping presentations and webinars.
  • Education and trainings to tobacco merchants on compliance to current vape/tobacco laws such as placement of STAKE ACT stickers, ID Checking, Tobacco 21 Law (T21), California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) license in public view, not selling to minors, etc.
  • 5-Star Merchant Recognition – Recognizing vaping/tobacco merchants for complying with vape/tobacco laws and posting tobacco law signage in public view.
  • Tobacco Youth Task Forces at various middle and high school in Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD) and Newport Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD)
  • Media Campaigns. Staff Place ads within the community on how youth are obtaining vapes/tobacco products and how to start a conversation with your child about vape/tobacco products.
